Tri Lite Introduces Heavy Duty LED Dock Lights

Chicago, IL - December 15, 2010 - Recognized warehouse lighting industry leader Tri Lite Inc. has launched a new line of tough, highly efficient and cost-effective LED lights for use on loading docks. They withstand rough environmental conditions while illuminating the trailer with bright cool true light.
Tri Lite President Bob Herling announced that an HDLED (Heavy Duty LED) dock light can outlast 25 incandescent bulbs. “It provides more light than a 300 watt incandescent bulb,” he said, “yet uses only 18 watts of power."
These HDLED units utilize seven state-of-the-art, high intensity LEDs per lamp head, incor-porating the latest (Light Emitting Diode) technology. Each light, Herling said, “will maintain at least 90% of its light intensity for over 60,000 hours and comes with a three-year war-ranty."
Packaged in a virtually indestructible cast aluminum housing, each light is fitted with a poly-carbonate lens designed to withstand impacts that regularly occur on a loading dock. The light head has an on-off switch recessed at the back, reducing chances of being hit, flipped or damaged. Modular construction allows it to be field repairable.
The light is rated for “wet and damp locations.” Each can operate over a voltage range of 100 to 240VAC at 50/60 Hertz. All are UL, cUL and CE certified. The unit is also RoHs com-pliant. Each light head has a short power cord that plugs into all Tri Lite dock light arms, or it can be used alone with an optional extension cord.
Tri Lite offers its HDLED series together with its extensive line of mechanical arms as com-plete dock light assemblies. They are available with single or double arm units of 24, 40, 60, or 90 inches. Cooling fans can also be added to the dock lights with the HDLED light heads, making them ideal for cold storage warehouse applications.
HDLED are a cost effective solution for loading dock applications. They save significant amounts of energy. Each light uses 80% less energy than halogen bulbs, and reaches full power immediately. More importantly, because of their ruggedness, users will save money on the repeated replacement of halogen bulbs that have a short life in the jarring world of the loading dock.
“The HDLED adds to our LED offering,” Herling added. “Tri Lite will continue to offer its PLED series of dock lights which incorporate a specially designed PAR38 LED bulb installed in our patented Polycarbonate Light Head.”
Since 1922 Tri Lite has been a specialist in loading dock and warehouse lighting, having at-tained its “Standard of Excellence in Design and Manufacturing” though industry reputation and customer satisfaction.
