Brady debuts new sustainable safety signage
Environmentally friendly signs offer durable paper, plastic and pressure-sensitive options
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Brady has introduced a line of new sustainable materials for safety and traffic signage. The materials provide customers with an environmentally friendly alternative to common plastics and other materials used for safety signs.
Paper, plastic and pressure sensitive materials offer durable indoor/outdoor options
Brady’s Sustainable Sign materials are specially crafted to be durable as well as eco-friendly. Customers can choose from three different material options, each designed for specific indoor and outdoor safety and traffic applications.
The B-586 Paper Signs are made of 10% post-consumer waste and are 100% recyclable. The stable, rigid paper material is appropriate for indoor applications. At 3.5mm thick, these new Paper Signs are lightweight yet durable. The sustainable Paper Signs are available for popular safety sign legends in sizes 10”x14” and 7”x10”.
Brady’s B-563 Plastic Signs are made of 70% post-consumer waste and are 0.55mm thick. Perfect for outdoor conditions, these sustainable Plastic Signs hold up to the elements for 3 to 5 years. Popular safety sign legends are available in the sustainable Plastic Sign material in sizes 10”x14” and 7”x10”.
The eco-friendly B-558 Pressure Sensitive Signs offer 3 to 5 year outdoor durability. The 0.004” thick material is made from 20% pre-consumer waste and feature permanent adhesive backing. The sustainable Pressure Sensitive Signs are available for popular traffic sign legends in sizes 10”x14” and 7”x10”.
Eco-friendly signage supports corporate sustainability initiatives
A global leader in safety sign quality and durability, Brady designed the new Sustainable Signs for companies investing in sustainability programs or simply seeking everyday signage with an environmentally friendly edge.
“We developed these eco-friendly materials to meet the specific needs of safety and facility managers as they become increasingly focused on the ecological impact of the materials they purchase,” said Brady’s product manager Tom Smith. “Sustainable ‘green’ products are not readily available in signage. Brady’s new products bring together traditional Brady quality and durability with a new ‘green’ focus.”
